MUSIC/DANCE/THEATRE COMPANY - (1 Credit)
This course introduces students to the American musical theatre repertoire concentrating on ensemble and solo
singing, with an emphasis on vocal technique, diction, and musicality. This course will help prepare students for a career in musical theatre.
Students will review the history of musicals, assess different career options, and receive training in audition techniques and resume preparation.
The course will also provide instruction on the three elements of musical - song, drama, and dance - and create a framework in which these are
blended seamlessly into an individualized performance style. (This course may be repeated for credit.)
Participation in both school musicals is mandatory. Outside performances and travel are highly probable.
